Question Posed – This book of the bible tells the story of Ezechiel witnessing an incredible phenomen…. What is your opinion? Visions of God or UFO’s?
“1:4. And I saw, and behold a whirlwind came out of the north: and a great cloud, and a fire infolding it, and brightness was about it: and out of the midst thereof, that is, out of the midst of the fire, as it were the resemblance of amber:”

Look at 2Kings 2:11
As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.
Now, we can annalyze this section and conclude some interesting things. This actually sounds like a modern day abduction. First of all, the chariot. That was the “vehicle” of those times. Not knowing other forms of transportation, that is how they would describe a vehicle.
Secondly is the fire. It says it was on fire. Of course electricity was not invented yet and the only way to describe light was through the word “fire”.
Then he is taken in a whirlwind. Hmm….is this a beam of light coming from the spaceship and abducting him? It is all a possibility.
Flying vehicles.

God used UFOs for angels that burned their wings when they were celebrating Guy Fawkes bonfires at The 5th of November

Well i would say it was a UFO! There is no real proof that the bible is fact or fiction but I believe that the earlier parts are somewhat fact! So this could be a UFO sighting!
If you look at Revelation 4, you will see a strong parallel in the vision of Heaven to John, 600 years later. A UFO (by common definition) is the least likely explanation

They are visions of Heavenly beings, just because they look weird doesn’t mean they’re UFOs.
It would be God. God is not a person, he is a power, love, soul, earth, fire, everything! He saw the powers of God.
Very interesting to read. I’ve read several fiction books that bsed the story on these scriptures suggesting the same thing you’re questioning. If it wasn’t evidence of a species of god-like, highly advanced technological society.
I enjoy entertaining this possibility the best. I find the Bible and most religions tend to minimize facts and speculative evidence that mention anything that isn’t in the Bible (dinosaurs, space, life outside of our system).
Who are we to be so self centered as to think we’re the only beings in the universe? UFO is what he saw and his capacity to understand only allowed for the concept of a devine presence (God). In other words…Ezechiel didn’t understand what he was seeing and his only way to describe it was something he understood…the concept of devine presence or God (assuming there is one). Hey, I think those old dudes were tripping on moldy rye bread or something. They “talked to god”, saw “chariots of fire” and believed that Jonah had been swallowed by a whale and lived in his belly. How anyone could believe this tripe is way beyond me. I have no gripe (at least not much of one) with Christians, but come on, is anyone really expected to believe this stuff literally? Surely not.
Who told you God’s messengers weren’t superior beings from another planet…space = heavens…
The text is self-interpreting.There’s an entire book on that one by an occultist[actually several].It is a vision from God of celestial craft and beings.But ufos do exist and they are demonic in nature.And some are manmade that go back to the Thule and Vril occult secret societies of the Third Reich where they channeled messages from the spiritual realm.Same with the Fatima Apparitions.Those were classic ufo encounters.Grand deception of these Last Days.From the human realm we have Project Bluebeam that will be used in the next decade to deceive humanity.Read “The Report From Iron Mountain”.That ploy was thought up in the early 1960′s.Strange times indeed.
