What Would A Perfect Christian World Be Like?

Filed in Category Christian Geology

Question Posed – Please, people who consider yourselves conservative Bible believing Christians, what would your perfect world be like? I can guess there would be no abortions, evolution would not be taught anywhere, and you would find some means of dealing with gays. (What would that be?)
But how about other questions–would there be any Catholics or Jews or Muslims or Episcopalians or Presbyterians or Hindus in the world? How would they be dealt with? How would you find the blessings of science when it conflicted with Biblical teaching–for instance, geology says the world is about 4 billion years old and has means for finding oil–would geology be taught anywhere? Of course there would be no premarital sex, but how would it be prevented, if you had the ability to stop it?
This is a sincere question, I hope not to have offended anyone. I just want to know what Bible believing Christians would like the world to be, ideally. And that means before the prophesized return of Jesus. Thanks!

Boring. A world full of christian zombies would not be a world I would want to life in.

Well, it sounds like what you’re trying to ask is how a “perfect Christian government” would operate rather than what a perfect Christian world would be like. If there were a perfect Christian world, none of these problems would exist and the need for Christians to support these causes would also cease to exist.

Well since people would wait until marriage to have sex, the spread of AIDS and other STD’s would be dramatically reduced. (Dare I dream that they’d eventually be wiped out entirely?)
That would also eliminate children born out of wedlock and greatly reduce the number of single women with children on welfare.
There would be a lot less broken homes. (Yes I know so many Christians divorce, but there sure wouldn’t be as many as there are now.)
OK, that’s enough. I have to get back into the real world now.

First of all, there’s no such thing as being perfect. I’m not a religious person myself, but if i were i would have to say that you’re kind of crazy if you want such a thing. Christinaity does not make anyone or anything perfect so i don’t think this is really a valid question. A normal (not perfect) world would have to include all different kinds of people, all cultures, and all religions. People would go insane if the whole world put their faith in one religion. Pretty interesting question though. =]

What you are describing is a YEC Fundamentalist Christian. There are many who are “Bible believing” such as 1.5 Billion Roman Catholics who would not object to Evolution. But if you want to know what a perfect Christian world would be stick around it will come to be.

First Catholics, Episcopalians and Presbyterians are Christian. A perfect Christian world would follow the teachings of Jesus and would LOVE their fellow man, that includes ALL men. Are you aware how many great theories in geology were made by Christians? You seem to have a very odd view of what a Christian is.

The absolute object is to let the Father in heaven handle every event of earth as far as weather, nature, housing, gathering, seed sowing, harvest, etc. All we have to do is sit back and enjoy ALL that He is willing to do for us and in turn we praise Him for ALL of His Good Works!
There will never be a need for money ever again to purchase everyday needed items, Because the Father in Heaven will provide it for us!
Are you willing for Him to provide for you?

well, I am sorry to tell you that you with sincerity but you are not a Christian.
Because you have labeled yourself and read the good book this question…. leaves no doubt in my mind that you are hateful and have missed the teaching of God to
love one another. And allow him to stand in judgment.
That is sad but so many do that. I do believe the word is righteous..

I would like the sky to remain blue and the grass green. The people in loving harmony with each other. Gas won’t be needed. No more homeless and starving people. Children who all have parents who love and want them. Trust everyone with my money and personal items. Walk down the street here in Los Angelous without fear someone might blow your brains out. NO MORE WARS. No more stupid presidents and there idea of freedom. I would like no more conflicts of beliefs.
I know this is Not at all a reality but, this was great to voice my dream. YES, I have a DREAM……

It would be enough that a servant should be like his/her Master.
We are being conformed to His image.
    This is according to scripture.
As for the world, there would be peace, and an incredible lack of problems.

Well except for the occasional “burn the heretic” session. Unfortunately I would be the heretic.

God doesn’t play favorites! he loves all of his children. In a perfect world we would all accept one another’s differences. In a perfect world we would all get along.

Everyone would become a Christian…willingly…so no forced conversion, and no need to “get rid of” people with different beliefs.
There’d be no violence, no adultery, no thoughts of doing evil to anyone else. War would end. Everyone would share everything. No more money, no more “this land belongs to me”…none of that. No more attachment to the temporary. All of us would only work to make the world a better place so that our time here isn’t so miserable, not so that we can have “more.”
There would be no denominations of Christianity. Everyone would just be a disciple of Christ. Period.
All of our extra resources would go to helping those less fortunate. NO ONE would need to starve or be homeless anymore.
There would be no homosexuality…not because we would physically get rid of it, but because no one would choose to engage in it any more, even if they have the predisposition to it.
There would be no unwanted pregnancies, ever, so no need for abortion. No one would have the desire to have premarital sex. It wouldn’t have to be physically “stopped”, people would just choose to not do it.
And science only contradicts with the Bible when it’s taken 100% literally. Only a small minority of Christians take the Bible 100% literally.
That’s my idea of a perfect world, and yes, I am a Christian.

The perfect Christian world would consisit of a lot of things that are currently not found in the world today:
    1. There would be no religious denominations. There would be no Catholic, no Muslims, no Episcopalians, Presyterians, Jehovah’s Witnesses, or such like. It would be as Jesus prayed for (John 17:20-23) and Paul pleaded for (I Corinthians 1:10-18 ), all would speak the same thing, believe the same thing, be the same thing. There would be true unity. No divisions.
    2. There would only be one church, the church that Jesus said that he would build (Matthew 16:18). There would be no false doctrine taught (Galatians 1:6-9), so no one would have to worry about straying away from the truth.
    3. There would be no abortions, because there would be no premartial sex (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Marriage would be regarded with the utmost respect (Hebrews 13:4) and many would wait until marriage to indulge in sexual behavior. Homosexuality would not even be a conscious consideration.
    4. The Bible would be our only guide.
    5. There would be no crime or criminal tendencies. Not even the most minute of lawbreaking with exist.
    6. There would be no sadness, even when a loved one dies. You know that they’re in good hands and that you will, one day, join up with them.
    7. There would be no more wars. All fighting and conflicts would be a thing of the past.
    8. Satan would not be allowed to tempt and influence mankind. He and all of his demon ilk would be confined, kept from causing trouble.
    9. There would be no fear of the coming Judgment Day. All would eagerly await the second coming of Jesus Christ.
    10. There would be no question of your final destination. Heaven will be your home. In fact, the world would be a small preview of just how magnificent Heaven will be.
That would be the perfect Christian World!!!

There would be no need for Walgreens, first of all.
I think you need to ask yourself if there would be contrary truth claims under any perfect world. Would a perfect world have imperfect beings who contradict not only each other but the true state of affairs? No. So isn’t your question rather odd? Yes.
What would the perfect atheist world be like? What would you do with all the religious people? Would you kill them all like Pol Pot or Stalin?
Are you under the impression that geology was discovered as a science sometime after evolution was widely accepted and based upon evolution? Have you ever taken a geology course? If so, you should know this question makes no sense. You don’t need to believe the earth is 4 billion years old to do earth science.

  21. roccopap on December 15, 2009 4:37 am

Depends on YOUR definition of Christian.
“no abortions” My niece, who has two beautiful children, had to have a tubal pregnancy aborted. Otherwise it would have killed her and she then wouldn’t have been there for her husband and family.
In your “perfect world” she would be dead.
“evolution would not be taught anywhere”
I must assume that this includes ANY knowledge which supports the theory of evolution. Well good by modern medicine, and half of our science. What an ignorant world this would be.
“and you would find some means of dealing with gays. (What would that be?)”
Would we be exterminated? Put in prison again? What other pogroms could this perfect world have? If people began disagreeing with your “dogma” and beliefs would there be the reintroduction of executing heretics? Or burning them at the stake?
“But how about other questions–would there be any Catholics or Jews or Muslims or Episcopalians or Presbyterians or Hindus in the world?”
This could not be allowed either. Starting to sound like the Middle Ages where hundreds of thousands were tortured and executed for not “believing in truth.”
“How would you find the blessings of science when it conflicted with Biblical teaching–for instance, geology says the world is about 4 billion years old and has means for finding oil–would geology be taught anywhere?”
As I said more like the Middle Ages. Would have to ruthless repress any knowledge that conflicted with the “inerrant” Bible. The Inquisitions worked for a few centuries.
“Of course there would be no premarital sex, but how would it be prevented, if you had the ability to stop it?”
    I suggest stoning.
Of course without a “secular” government to enforce ‘Civil rights” we would probably stop women from voting or having any authority over men as it states must be done in the Bible. And of course there would be nothing to stop the reintroduction of slavery. And no first amendment. Can’t have anyone FREELY denouncing what they read in the Bible.
    “This is a sincere question,”
I gave a sincere answer. Hope no one is offended. But it is starting to sound more like “hell on earth.”
